Our certified handler and dog teams deliver structured emotional support visits across healthcare settings, educational institutions, justice and crisis environments, and other local public spaces throughout the Nepean and Blue Mountains regions.

We are entirely run and managed by a dedicated Board of Directors and Management Committee who donate 100% of their time completely uncompensated. Founded right here in Penrith, Nepean Therapy Dogs grew from a simple realisation: a gentle pat and a wagging tail can completely transform someone’s day.
What started as a local grassroots initiative has blossomed into a highly trusted community partner. We operate with absolute transparency, high ethical positive-reinforcement training standards, and a deep respect for canine welfare. By carefully evaluating every handler-and-dog duo, we ensure that our volunteer visits remain safe, uplifting, and customised to meet the unique emotional needs of the facilities we serve.
